Water Heater Preventative Maintenance

Make Performance a Priority by Investing in Maintenance:
Make performance a priority in your home or business when you take advantage of our water heater and boiler preventative maintenance program. Regular water heater usage and hard water leads to a build-up of sediment at the bottom of your water heater which reduces efficiency (especially with gas water heaters that heat the water from the bottom via a burner), and can be corrosive, eating away at the tank's interior leading to leaks. The anode rod (1st line of defense) is a "sacrificial" metal rod that prevents the steel tank from corroding. It does this by corroding itself instead of the tank, a process that relies on electrolysis where the rod, made of a less noble metal like magnesium or aluminum, attracts the corrosive elements in the water. this extends the life of the water heater by protecting the inner tank from rust and leaks. Heating elements (converts electrical energy into heat to warm the water in the tank) if these elements begin to corrode, it can lead to inconsistent hot water, unusual noises such as hissing or popping sounds. Dip Tube (directs water to the bottom of the tank, ensuring it can be heated before it rises to the top) this prevents the incoming cold water from mixing with the hot water at the top, which would lead to lukewarm water. Dip tubes become broken due to gradual deterioration from corrosive water, the constant expansion and contraction of the dip tube as the water heats and cools, and if the anode rod is failing and not providing the proper protection.

If deposits continue to accumulate, and your water heater is not regularly maintained, you could be facing a not so efficient water heater or equipment failure in the near future.

What Our Plan Covers and the Cost.

The Annual Fee

Once a year within the calendar month of the annual date of when the water heater was installed, we will reach out to you to schedule a time that works best for you to provide the maintenance service. We do not charge a monthly recurring fee, unlike many of our competitors. We charge the flat annual maintenance plan fee of $150.00 (+3% if paying with card) due immediately after the maintenance plan service has been performed. This flat rate annual cost and service will stay in effect  until you no longer wish to continue the yearly maintenance plan. Note: This maintenance plan is only offered to customers within the 1st year of installation whether it was installed by us or someone else (with verifiable  proof of date). If any service covered in this maintenance plan is required in the future, and you did not sign up for the maintenance plan in a timely manner, it will be billed at our normal operational costs.

What's Included in Plan

  • Leak & Damage Assessment

Visually inspect the water heater, fittings, and pipes for any signs of leaks.

  • Flush Tank to Remove Sediment

Drain the tank to remove sediment buildup, which helps improve efficiency

and prevents corrosion.

  • Inspection of Anode Rod

Check the sacrificial anode rod for excessive corrosion and replace it if necessary to protect the tank.

( The replacement is free, at no additional cost to you.)

  • Test T&P Valve

Operate the valve to ensure it is working correctly and can safely release pressure and replace it if necessary.

(The replacement is free, at no additional cost to you.)

  • Examine the Venting System

Inspect the flue, air intake, and vents for blockages or corrosion.

  • Element Testing

Inspect the terminals where the wires connect to the elements for any signs of corrosion, loose connections, or burning and perform a multimeter ohms resistance test to ensure they are working properly and replace if necessary.

(The replacement is free, at no additional cost to you.)
